Spartan Woodcrafts is a veteran owned and operated company that works to provide its customers with unique, functional, patriotic products.

The company began as a way for Clair Handrick, founder and owner, to unwind following several arduous deployments. He found himself spending hours in the garage making custom built-ins for his home and the homes of several friends. While still on active duty, a friend approached Clair and asked if he could build a custom pistol concealment to donate to a fundraiser for a non-profit company that targets human traffickers.

After doing some research, he realized that several designs existed, however, they did not allow for the rapid retrieval of the pistol from the in-wall concealment. It was through presenting his design to the charity board that interest was generated, which sparked the idea of creating a business around custom in-wall concealment.

After retiring from 31 years of service, with the final thirteen and a half years of his career as operational in a Special Forces unit, Spartan Woodcrafts was established.
